The Management of Kaduna Electric and two ICT companies, Omniswift and Topup Africa, have signed an agreement that will see to the deployment of GPRS and Mobile technology into the electricity company’s billing system.
The Head, ICT department of Kaduna Electric, Malam Yasir AbdusSalam who disclosed this during a media briefing in Kaduna today said that Omniswift Company shall deploy CRM and Billing system called Utilibill developed by an Australian ICT expert, while Topup Africa shall act as a payment collection partner to Kaduna Electric.
Malam Yasir further explained that the CRM application shall integrate and harmonize both the post and pre-paid customers of the Company into one billing system.
According to him, “the new Customers Relations and billing system shall guarantee efficiency in bills generation and ease of payment of electricity bills by customers of the Company”.
He also announced that as part of the agreement, the two companies shall supply POS and mobile devices as well as Bluetooth mobile printers all with installed application that will afford the sales representatives of the Company the opportunity to carry-out transactions such as payments and billing and give the customers access to their account details. “It shall help to plug revenue leakages and give the customers many transaction options”, he contended.
